Lodwick , Southend-On-Sea
The structural design for this house was completed earlier this year and the tendering process is underway. The building will be formed as a combination of loadbearing masonry with integrated steel frame system with timber floors. The swimming pool is designed as a floating cantilever structure in reinforced concrete. The ground floor elements are mainly in loadbearing masonry. The foundations will be formed as simple strip footing supporting the loadbearing masonry and reinforced block. A number of tension cables are used to support large cantilevers with unobstructed views.
