Stein’s entrusted us with the structural engineering design for their flagship restaurant, “BERLIN,” located in a historic Grade II listed building in Kensington. We ensured compliance with conservation guidelines while implementing innovative solutions. The ground floor features an expansive main restaurant and bar area with large-span beams, and the basement accommodates essential facilities with advanced waterproofing. The outdoor terrace overlooking Imperial Gardens required precise structural calculations. Sustainable materials and energy-efficient systems were incorporated throughout. Since its grand opening in June 2018, “BERLIN” has become a culinary destination, showcasing new German cuisine in a setting that blends contemporary style with rich history. Our expertise ensured durability, safety, and elegance.
