Leinster Mews – Lancaster Gate
An existing two storey mews house was demolished to allow for the construction of a new three storey house including a basement. The format of construction was traditional loadbearing brickwork and blockwork with the introduction of internal steel frame and timber floor. The basement was extended to form a subterranean room below the existing garden. A number of internal steel beams were designed to fit within the tight floor to ceiling height in order to accommodate services.
